I know I shall regret this and it makes me sad to do it, but now I'm not ever going to be gigging again this has to go.

Redplate Blackverb 50watt 2x6L6. What hasn't it got. Tube buffered FX loop, tube driven spring reverb, OD channel, loads of tone sculpting controls incluing the wonderful 6-way mode switch. Lo-Master control (changes the range of the pot), Tone stack bypass, Reverb bypass, Negative Feedback bypass, hi/low power switch. 3 Button footswitch for clean/OD, Normal/Tweed and Boost. Two 5 pin midi cables come with it a long and a short. Speaker cable included.

These are superbly well built, see the pics below, all handwired and very neatly done considering the number of components in the chassis. This is an early version and hasnt got all the tweaks of the later versions, however under the guidance of Henry Heistand I have added the Lo-Master control, the Drive Shift, the Drive Cut along with adding two gold plated phono sockets to the chassis to allow for a detachable lead to the reverb tank. Can be seen in the photos. I replaced the output valves a little while ago with some great Tung-Sols, and these have done no appreciable work, only gigged once.

Wonderful clean tones and a very versatile OD. Because the OD section has three volume controls you can easily control the nature and amount of distortion produced. Gain trims the signal coming from the clean channel, Drive trims the signal after V2a gain stage and Level sets the OD stage output volume. I found it very useful to have the OD channel set to produce just a little bit of hair on a clean sound, but it would do nice crunch and Dumble style lead tones too.

Now to the Head Shell and Cab. I have always found combos to be a bit limiting in terms of tones, you get a much bigger sound from a 2x12 or indeed a 4x12, but with the right size 2x12 and speakers you'll get very close to the sound of a 4x12 without the hassle. The head shell and cab are made by me. I have made numerous of these, for my Ceriatone Dumble clones, Plexi combo and head shell, and DZ-30 1x12, I have also made a 4x10 cab plus 2x12  and 1x12 cabs for myself and commissioned by other people. They are made from 18mm birch ply with dovetailed joints, very strong indeed. Fitted with 15mm birch ply baffle, the speaker cutouts have all 8 mounting holes drilled and fitted with M5 tee-nuts, so if you want to move the speaker round you can. Back plates are 12mm ply. Speakers are the original combo WGS Retro 30 and an Eminence Tonespotter (recognised as a good match for Dumble style amps).

Grille cloth is the same as on DrZ amps. I have used 4 colours of tolex to cover the head and cab. Orange, cream, blue and black/purple . Fitted with white lining and piping. Handles are blue leather, corners black metal. All backplate screws are fitted through matching screw cups. The amp mounting bolts are sitting in orange anodised cup washers. Rubber feet are substantial. .

In addition to the shell and cab the sale comes with the original Redplate 1x12 combo shell in Red. It is an easy job to move the amp and speaker back into this.

Not looking for trades, neither am I willing to post, but I will be amenable to meeting half way for diesel money, by prior arrangement and sensible distances. Located Nottingham. However I personally would prefer you to come and try out the amp. I have access to a rehearsal studio where you can put on a backing track through the PA, crank the amp as loud as you like and play your heart out. By prior arrangement on Fridays and Saturdays, and any time Monday day, and by arrangement Monday evenings. Looking for £1900 OVNO.

Pics in next post.
