WTB: Strat neck

I realised this evening that I've replaced all the parts on my 57 Fotoflame Strat except the neck. So, if I replace the neck as well, I'll be able to re-assemble all the old parts and gain another guitar!

I prefer small headstock, and the neck I'm replacing is soft v and maple, but I'll consider other types.

Anyone got anything suitable?

So the Fotoflames are MIJ right ? In that case do they have the wider 57mm neck pockets ?
I ask because if so I've got a maple neck from Partscaster with that width heel that I'd shift on for not a huge amount of money

Just got the callipers out. Pretty much bang on 57mm at the heel. Pics to follow shortly !

I've just got a Japanese fender neck it was slightly wider than a standard mex or US neck pocket.

I think it won't be too much of an issue fitting a US neck to a Japanese body.

I think I have got the other string tree kicking about somewhere too, and a set of neck screws and a plate..
I can also do you a deal on a set of Axes R Us locking tuners to go on it if you like ?

Looks good to me. I'm alright for hardware as I've got all the original parts. What's your definition of "not a huge amount of money"?

Oh blimey, have I actually got to make a decision? This has made me realise I have no idea how to tell if it's a good neck or otherwise.

What are the frets like? Any wear? Is the truss rod adjusted through the end of the heel?

I was hoping to spend about £40. Is that not enough?

Yeah, I know where you're coming from !

Err frets look pretty much untouched, they've certainly not had a hard life to date. Truss rod is a heel end adjust.

As for price, yeah I'm sure that a spot ebay vigilance would get you something quite nice for £40.

Let me ponder price, wasn't thinking of going that low to be fair
