SOLD FS/FT: Marshall SL5 with footswitch - price drop

I'm selling my Marshall SL5. Comes with original packing and footswitch and is in very good condition. There's a micro ding in the silver front plate, shown in a photo below.

Reason for selling - well, not that it really matters, but I'm just finding that I'm using my Corso for home use and recording, and the SL5 therefore isn't getting used. Its a killer amp, a great tone with 1 watt or 5 watt settings, and if you search on the forum, you'll find a bunch of positive comments about it.

They're £400 new, so I'm asking £340 £310 + discussion on shipping given its bulk, but to be clear, I'm happy to ship it from Surrey or meet up somewhere if that can work out.

In terms of trades....I'd like some cash out of this one if possible but not essential, and I'm probably only interested in the following:

Power supply that can handle 2xH9s plus other normal pedals
Koji Compressor

Would genuinely be a great trade. I'm on 6 and a bit years so far with my oldest and still not had one!! Gets to the point where even if they don't wake you you wake up to find out why they didn't wake you. Rather than live in hope I find it easier to numb the strain with gear (as in the guitar kind rather than heroin).

Love this amp and even better with the fx loop I had installed.

The SL-5 covers a lot of ground.

I can imagine mint one's of these being well regarded in 15-20 years even though they aren't UK made.

Mine loves the LP R9 (obviously) but I've never got a sound out of it with the PRS's that I like.

How does this compare to a class 5? (I haven't heard either but I'm looking or Marshall tone in a small package).

Well, compared to class 5 it has master volume, 12" v30, reverb, dual channel, etc. Doesn't look as good IMO though which is the only negative.

I'd say it does alot of the good Marshall tones but I'm no expert. Use it with an LP - I was about to sell mine until the LP arrived... It's just light enough to lug around to jams.

I took the back off mine to open up the sound though.

It uses a single EL34 which is normally found in their bigger amps.

I can't speak for a Class 5, but the SL5 does sound excellent on both the 1 and 5 watt settings. Takes pedals well too IMO.
