I have just bought a RV5 which has two stereo ins and outs

Has anyone ever tried wiring it up like this

Guitar into Input 1 then out of output 1 back into input 2 and then out of output 2 into an amp

Does this just make the effect twice as loud or does it do anything at all?

Will i die if this happens?

Answers on a postcard please

You'll end up inside the reverb with the normal world on the outside.

    :)

It depends how the 'stereo' is done. If it's true stereo you'll just get double the amount of reverb; if it's pseudo-stereo it may feed back on itself, but that won't actually do any harm although it may whistle or do other strange things. Could be quite cool really!

  • Turns out you dont go into the future you just get a LOT of reverb and then a load of feedback!

Seen people do this with DD7's - it can sound pretty cool if you put a volume pedal in line with the second signal, and use it to swell the feedback in and out!

  • I was thinking about using a switcher so i can change if i want TONNES of reverb or just a bit using the same technique
