Slash has had a new acoustic made with back and sides wood taken from 'The Tree', a 3000 year old arctic spruce top, all finished off with fossilised whale bone tuning pegs!

    Man, that is one fugly acoustic. The top doesn't go with the ugly orange back and sides at all. Would have looked much better with a dark rosewood. Might sound nice though!

    That is one ugly guitar, and not only for the blatant ostentation.

    Bridge looks very wrong.
    The figured mahogany is lovely, I would have picked a nicer top for it, that one looks like it got dirt rubbed into the finish.
    Tuner buttons are ugly too

    It's from a 3000 year old tree, I'd expect it to look a bit worn.

    I suppose that when you have as many guitars as Slash has it takes something special to make you open your own wallet and spring for another one.
