FS: Epiphone Valve Junior Head and Cab + Joyo AC Tone. *SOLD*

edited December 2014 in Amps £
We have for sale an Epiphone Valve Junior Head and Cab.

Head is 2 Months Old, Boxed and absolutely as New, minimal home use only. Bought from GAK in September.
Cab is roughly 8 months old, in absolutely as new condition, bought used from a member of this forum and again has only ever had minimal home use - not a single scratch or mark anywhere and sounds just as it should. Contains the original 12" 'Eminence Lady Luck' Speaker - 70 Watts, 16 Ohms.

Together they make a very smart, very nice sounding amplifier.

We have always used a Joyo AC Tone pedal in front of it mainly because it has the 3 band EQ that the Amp itself doesn;t have so we are including the Joyo pedal with the sale for this very reason - even with the drive turned right down the pedal adds something to the amp in terms of EQ and the level control serves as a useful boost.

Collection only from Bedford - i can work with you in terms of petrol and travelling to meet etc.

£100 for the Amp, Cab and Pedal all sold together and will not split. The price will not drop again and at this price it is an absolute Bargain.

*NOW SOLD*

Humtpy Bumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Bumpty had a great fall..........
This pissed him off quite a lot but not as much as it did missing out on a bargain of a brilliant amplifier, which had been discontinued and was unavailable brand new anywhere in the UK.

Little miss Muffet did take some pity on him and out of sight of all the others she took the situation in hand and she did make him feel better and forget about it for a while. The Moral of the story however is that no amount of Nursery Rhyme Porn will make up for missing out on the amp you really want, no matter how good your residual mental image of little Miss Muffet is !

I could be very interested in this, simply  because it looks good, sounds interesting and is a good price.
A couple of questions - what size is the speaker and how quiet can it go - and how loud?

    Happy to collect form Bedford.

It's the original 12" Eminence Lady Luck Speaker.
The amp (Which you are most welcome to try out, please bring your own guitar or use one of mine) is easily capable of being played at a low volume, it just doesn't give it's best.
In my living room it is too much to play up on full volume, it's not a huge room. It's got guts this thing however after halfway on the volume control, it's just adding gain, not volume. If you were playing blues in a small pub it would work fine. If you were in a smallish rehearsal studio, it would work fine there too but if you want stage volume cleans, you would need to leave this on about number 4 and then mic it up.
The addition of the Joyo Pedal works very well because it gives it the EQ which is very useful and if you want the natural overdrive sound, the boost of the pedal pushes it even further into that sound, which in my opinion sounds awesome. Using the drive control on the pedal, you can get an overdriven sound at low volume as well, so it's a good all round package - just remember if you're going to play a gig on a big stage in a big room, you will need to be mic'd up.
    Hope that helps.

If you do want to come and see this, PM and i will give you a phone number. I live a few minutes off the A421.

Pondering this now.  Certainly will not be gigging (ever) but looking for something with a bit of character to learn with and develop at home.  Maybe this might be just a little to loud for that. But pondering.

OK.  Having given due consideration to the size and noise potential, and the likely effects on the OH, I think this is probably not going to be a runner.
Thanks for your help anyway.  Hope you sell it soon.

    You're very welcome @rlw

We all agree here that it is a bargain.
We are going to give it until the weekend and if no one wants it, then we will put it away and keep it.

You never know one day it might end up being a classic.

    It was a local friend..........

When i told him i was selling it for that price, he just said straight up he would have it and came round that night.

It's an amp i will miss, it's lovely to look at and sounds fabulous but i don't often play mic'd up on stage and i've got a Blues Junior which does all that and more.

I've got first dibs on it if he ever sells it, just because part of me wished i didn't have to sell it.
