I'd say not, they deserve their own separate thread, but you've got mod powers, have you not, so I can't stop you! :-)
from memory......alternate tuning on original noted)
@bigjon, All along the watchtower is C#m/B/A not as in your original post (not that I'm pedantic or anything...)
Also,Thin Lizzy - Jailbreak is (intro/verse) A/E/F# and chorus B/E, the breakdown bit is basically E - A (Eb tuning)
And for Hey Joe, where the E is, an E7#9 (Hendrix chord) is a nice alternative to a straight E.
And using the Cadd9/Gadd9 shapes from The Police's "Message in a bottle" could be the start of a nice solo, or a variation on the rhthm for a second guitarist.
Knockin on Heavens door -G'N'R intro/Verse is G/D/Am/G/D/C (twice through) Chorus is G5/D5/C5. (Eb tuning)
Another brick in the wall (Pt2) - Pink Floyd has the chord Dm/G/F/C Mostly Dm the G the "all in all" is F-C
Comfortably numb Is Bm-A-G-(D)/F#-Em intro/verse & chorus is D-A-D-A-C-G-C-G
Lynyrd Skynyrd - That Smell is F-Am (IIRC)
Purple Haze - E7#9 - G- A
Pink Floyd - Money F#m - A - E (IIRC)
Any number of Iron Maiden songs are Em(7)- D-C
UFO - Doctor Doctor only has the chords Dm-C-Bb-F-G-A (all played as power chords) F-G-A in the chorus only (Same chords for Fear of the Dark)
G'n'R - Paradise City G-C-F (Ok - Fadd9 in the intro), and a simple G-F-F# riff (Eb tuning)
Van Halen - Ain't talkin' bout Love - Am - F-G (Eb tuning)
Johnny B. Goode - F-Bb-C (although it's been played in most keys)
Bad Company (5 finger death punch cover) intro Em B/D(single notes), Verse Em - D Chorus E5/B5, open E +C- D-E riff (FFDP is played in drop B!)
Motorhead - We are the Roadcrew - A5(3 bars) G5 F5 (1/2 bar each) 3times then A5 (3 bars) F5 G5 (1/2 bar each) Riff (single notes) a-g-e-d a-g-e-d a-g-e-d d-e-g-a-c-a (A pent 5th fret) (Eb tuning)
Led Zeppelin Communication breakdown E5 D5-A5-D5 (possibly Eb - not certain)
Hawkwind Silvermachine A5/6 B5/6 C5/6 D5/6 E5/6 (Possibly Eb- not certain can't find the CD with it on to check.....)
Black Magic Woman - Dm7/Am7*/Gm7 *Viz did suggest A7, I think different, and will accept if I'm wrong
Ringleader of the Cambridge cartel, pedal champ and king of the dirt boxes (down to 21)
@bigjon I was going on what actual chords were played, rather than whether the guitars were down-tuned. So in that case my Thin Lizzy suggestions should be noted to be played a semi-tone down-tuned. As should the G'n'R..
I've noted on my suggestions where the original recording is in a different tuning.

@hywelg I didn't comment on the full arrangement, but thanks for expanding on the suggestion. Although I did forget the F5/A5/G5 in the verse. My memory aint what it was........ :-O

@bigjon, I'll probably be there this week........
It could be amusing to play it on Sunday though (Yes that my evil streak coming out)

Just thought of another one, Fisherman's Blues by The Waterboys G F Am C
(also being pedantic about Sweet Home Alabama there is that pesky F that crops up on the "birmingham we love the governor" line and at the start of the first solo)
No idea what the original key is, but when my band have played it, it has been:
Bb // Dm // Gm // Eb
Crack out the wah and have a nice, lazy, funky solo, drop the rhythm down to a reggae feel...all sorts you can do with it.
