  • I was on the road yesterday for 8 hours and 40 minutes, so this pretty much saved my sanity.

Hardly surprising. 4500+ threads in "Guitar" and 154 in "Bass".

  • Just listened, very entertaining....and that Yolanda Charles!

Apart from the most obvious, I think this is one of the finest examples of Slap Bass playing, I just thought it should get a mention.

And they said that in our time, all that's good will fall from grace, even Saints would turn their face, in our time.

  • Can't say I like "slap" bass. Just wish they'd play the damn thing. Mark King was the worst.
"Working" software has only unobserved bugs. (Parroty Error: Pieces of Nine! Pieces of Nine!)
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself

There is definitely a time and place.

My favourite slappist is flea - but although very technical (and occasionally very jazzy) he uses it as a tool rather than to show off. Black eyed blonde and skinny sweaty man are great :)

The section of Mark King playing the arpeggios underneath the chorus of Lessons in Love and then siging over the top of it was pretty amazing. How anyone can do all that at once and still remember to breathe is beyond me.
