FS 2001 Gibson SJ-150 with original case in VGC
This has been - by some distance - my favourite Gibson acoustic, and possibly my favourite acoustic fullstop. It's been my main gigging guitar for a few years but you wouldn't know it from the condition it's in. There's barely a scratch on it, other than some staining to the headstock from a poor-quality capo before I got it - entirely cosmetic and it's never bothered me, to be honest.
The SJ-150 is the same as the J-150 and both of them are pretty much the same as a J-200, but with less bling and an unbound neck. Warm and rich, I find them more comfortable than a dreadnaught when sitting down, and pretty fine when standing up too. I've had to think long and hard about keeping this one or a D35, and the D35 only wins because I've just recorded it on a new album and it seems daft to get rid of it before the album is even out. These are quite rare guitars, and the recent launch of the Noel Gallagher signature J-150 has pushed up interest even harder - the Noel Gallagher versions are still selling for close to £10K.
I'm selling it because I feel I've too many big guitars and nothing small. If there's no interest in this, I'll keep it and sell the D35 instead. I love them both. If you have a nice short-scale 0-sized parlour or 0-15M, or a Guild m20, I'd be happy to discuss a trade. I can't think that anything else would be of interest but you never know. Acoustic only and short-scale ideally.
I'm based in Edinburgh but happy to travel if need be. I'm less keen on couriers for now but if you're interested, let me know. I have plans to venture south soon and maybe we can work something out. Any questions please just drop me a PM.
£2250 collected.
