Yet another expensive modeller that tries to convince prospective buyers why it's so different and so much better than the competition because it specialises in Fender tones.

Yawn. Duck as that squadron of pigs goes flying over head.  For nearly £1,650, no thanks.
I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)

  • Seeing lots of comments on social media posts that people don’t believe that Fender will invest in this long term and support the product so they won’t buy it.

  • It definitely looks nice from an interface perspective, with real(ish) looking amps and pedals etc. also like the mini pedal board displays. Unfortunately for the price it doesn’t have profiling and you’ll be reliant on Fender’s models. Hard to see where it bests the QC or FM9 other than ui (and maybe processing power).

They have a poor history and having staff on forums saying 'we will support it' means nothing; if the management cut funding/support they have no say.

The most bizarre thing is no bass models, apart from the Bassman which is a guitar amp designed for bass hahahaha.

As a huge name in bass guitars, with some fantastic bass amps in their past, what on earth are they playing at.

  • In an ideal world there’d be freedom of choice to install any firmware (/VST) onto the hardware of your choice, and upgrade the latter to boot.

…without carting laptops and MIDI shit around.

Checked this one out and it is very good, the main selling point for me is the UI, it’s one of the best and easy to use. Helix is close, Kemper, Quad and Fractal somewhat more difficult.
if you’re a studio fan then any of the top end gear is ok as there is time to tweak and adjust….and delve !….
on stage it’s a bit trickier and unpredictable…..
The Fender unit, IMO, straddles both worlds best.
whether it gets good support from Fender in the future is a concern but I feel that improvements in what can be achieved sound wise are getting smaller and smaller to the point where soon they will be pointless.
This  unit has everything that I would need , already have a Helix Rack, but if I was to purchase I’d hang on until Xmas and watch those deals start popping up …..
I expect £1250 before too long and then it is worth a serious look.
