With the evenings about to draw in, where's good source for kiln dried logs in the east London, Essex, Herts area?

If you can't find a local supplier of properly seasoned hardwood, then these people will deliver a crate of consistently cut, clean & dry logs

The nearest park and a chainsaw but you'd have to dry the logs yourself.

There's a big place in Epping Forest ......sawmill yard and log supplier .......obvs all from the forest

Look for a local tree surgeon / Arborist. They will have logs from the trees they cut down.

I just had a tree down, they sell 'fully seasoned' logs and I believe them when they say they are 'ready to burn'. No idea if they put them in a kiln? Is that important?

It’s vital to buy a moisture meter and test logs before they drop them. We just had ready to burn logs delivered and they tested at over 50% moisture. All the others logs on the truck would have been attempted to be delivered and if people didn’t test they will be burning wet wood. It’s not the first time we have this and it’s an absolute rip off.
