Vehicle Couriers

What's Hot
I've just bought an Ariel 650 and I need to get it moved from Stevenage to Preston sometime next week or so. It's not run in 5 years so it has no MOT and will need a light re-commissioning on receipt. Can anyone recommend a firm that will safely transport the bike, and in a van rather than an open trailer? It's mint and I don't want to spend a day removing all the road crap off it on arrival.

    A Huntsman?
Have you any local bike dealers that sell second hand? They will have preferred contacts for moving bikes around.
Looking online brings loads of names & services, but I'm afraid I can't recommend any from experience.

I always fancied on of these:

The Healey Square Four, based around the Squariel.

Yes, it's basically a BSA A10 but with a better gearbox and a few other detail differences. It'll make a good stable companion for my B road scratcher Triumph Street Triple.

Hire a van and come down for it. Whilst you're here you can have a bike workbench for a knock down price and take that back too :)

There's a guy in Bristol who specialises in moving motorcycles, Ace Services Bristol.  I have personally used his services and it worked out very well for me on price, response time and the guy was very friendly and reliable.  The bike arrived in perfect condition and his van is plenty big enough for even the biggest of bikes so he should have no issue transporting yours.

I appreciate Bristol is not geographically local to either locations you're needing but a phone call can't hurt to see if he can assist.  His website does mention "anywhere in the UK", so........
