Who to ship a bass with?

Any suggestions on who to ship a bass with? I am fortunate enough to have no need for a car most of the time so would prefer a local drop off or a door collection. UPS are giving me a 'system off line at the moment' message. Post Office wont take a parcel that size at the counter and Parcelforce are assholes.

    I use UPs all the time
    might find it cheaper to book them thru the likes of inter parcel.com

    They do offer drop off points for collecting if required but think some of these will have size restrictions . But that is the policy of the drop off place and not UPS
