Any of you horny fellows used Ibanez Super 58s?

I had a set of clones which I liked, but sold them to @Snags ensconced in a guitar. Just got my hands on a pair of what I think are '80s ones... and yeah, I like them.

    I think they come in the John Scofield, Pat Metheney and George Benson guitars so must be pretty decent.

    I think the name "Super 58" covers a variety of pickups. The original, Japanese made, ones seem to be highly regarded.
    I have a recent hollowbody with what I believe are Chinese made pickups but they're still called Super 58s. FWIW I think they're pretty nice, low-medium output, PAF-ish pickups and don't feel any need to change them.

    Oh. Apparently I'm using a set of clones in some dodgy second-hand guitar with iffy wiring. I quite like them.

    {Edit to clarify: the wiring isn't iffy, and the guitar isn't dodgy. Cirrus is a professional, and the nicest person in the world.

    Is that OK?  Will you let me wife and dog go now? How about just the dog?}

    I think my Ibanez AM100 from 1980 has them - very unique note attack to them ( think Scofield).

    I've got a set of the more recent Japanese ones in an AS153. I like them, but I'm not a PAF afficionado. Still, they seem to do their thing well.

    I think the "Chinese" Super 58s have a serial or designation stamped on the cover, if you wanted to tell them apart.
