WTB: something delay/mod related.

I'm after a 16th birthday present for a close family friend. He's a good player and has a nice guitar but all his pedals sound rubbish!

Long story short: I've taught him guitar since he was 8 years old and a few years ago his family generously gifted us a dog from their litter of puppies, so I've always planned to get him a good present when he turned 16.

My budget is £300 ish and I would like to get 2 or 3 pedals out of that.

I would primarily like to get him a decent compressor and an overdrive/distortion pedal. If there is enough in the budget for a 3rd pedal then something delay/mod related would be cool, but open to suggestions!

EDIT: now sorted for overdrive/distortion + a compressor!
