    IIRC, @Bridgehouse had something of that ilk before he changed to an Oil City Overkill.

    If you install the metal screening cover on your '51-style P, a passive Rails/Track humbucker or an EMG-S, -SA or -FT would do the job very well.

    FWIW compared to a stock 51' MIJ and a SD  quarter pounder I preferred an Artec/Guitar fetish cool rails strat mini humbucker :)
