Foam Shield for Small Diameter Microphone

my Google fu is weak on this one. Any idea where I can get a cheap foam shield for a small diameter microphone. Specifically an AKG P170. Thomas have them but the shipping makes it uneconomic.

It's a 2cm diameter mic.

You should be able to get a generic one for pretty cheap that would do the job just as well as a genuine AKG one:

The 22mm internal diameter ones would fit OK and probably stay in place OK.

If it doesn't have to look good you could probably make your own with soft foam from packaging and a pair of long sharp scissors.

It's the posting costs that are usually a killer, especially for something that weighs next to nothing and would flatten into a thin jiffy bag.

But that won't stop them sending it in a box large enough for a small child filled with bubble wrap.

The box filled with bubble warp, not the child.
