Idea blatantly stolen from Kahler. There is/was an official part for locking off the cam on the flatmount Pro vibrato. It replaces the springs.
I made a similar one for a friend's Kahler Flyer after the springs stretched badly and replacements weren't available at the time - an H-shaped piece of steel plate with a couple of bends at the right places so the screws lined up properly. Thankfully you can get the springs again now.

You might have thought that, by now, somebody would have made computer scans of these horrid Eighties budget vibratos, engineered solutions to their design/materials shortcomings and 3-D printed replacements in durable materials.
    Be seeing you.

  • @HarrySeven I'm sorry, but I've become really attached to it, and can't stand to be separated from it.

Sorry for getting your hopes up....

Nah, just kidding, of course you can have it.
    Please, please have it!

I'm a bit busy today, but we can sort via PM tomorrow or early next week.
    Brill! :)

    Dropped you a line.

  • That vibrato should revive a Höhner SG Lion. The missing arm is no big deal. Better to leave the vibrato locked off.
    Be seeing you.

Are those EMG Select pickups worth a mention?

Not really. The humbuckers have adequate output but not the brightest tone. The Strat-sized pickups have dual stacked coils for noise cancellation and a blade polepiece. Consequently, they do not sound very Fender-y.

These pickups need to be cheap to be worth acquiring.
    Be seeing you.

@mbe There's a video clip in this earlier discussion of the EMG Select Humbuckers in an Epiphone Spotlight to give you an idea of how they can sound.
