SORTED Gretsch vinyl back pad - traded guitar!!

Bought a 1962 Gretsch Country Classic II.
Back panel is very worn - guitar is from 2002, and considering a replacement. Does anyone know where I could source one in the UK?
Ebay has one but not sure it’s genuine.

    I bought one of these, similar age too the back pad was cracked all over. 

    I tried to find a replacement, and even contacted Fender direct who kindly sent me a new one.

    Sadly it didn't fit, the pressstuds were in different places and I couldn't find one anywhere else.

    I contacted a few leatherworkers who were happy to do it if I sent the old one to them.

    Unfortunately something shiny turned up on here so I traded it without getting a replacement made.

    Thanks Andy - I am awaiting a reply from Fender. I’ll keep trying but possibly a hand made one may well will be a good solution.
