Odd 6L6WGC valve

What is this valve / tube please. It’s labelled as a 6L6WGC. I was under the impression that these are described as ‘Octal’ because they have 8 pins…

Yet it only has six pins. It seems to be missing pin 1 and possibly pin 6, although that one isn’t numbered

    The 6L6 uses the octal valve base but doesn't require all 8 pins.  Pins 1 and 6 are not used so are not fitted.  Other makers may install all 8 pins whether they are required or not.

    It’s an 8-pin format, but doesn’t necessarily have 8 pins.

    Most octal rectifiers will only have 4 pins
