Oil City’s most excellent take on the Billy Gibbons, Slash kind of thing hand wound by the man himself. Measuring 8.3k bridge, 7.5k neck. 26cm cable for bridge 30cm for neck. Vintage braid style cabling so not suitable for coil taps / splits. Some wear marks on the top and one scratch on the neck from clumsy pole piece adjustment. Long legs 14mm approx and 49.something mm Gibson spacing for both pickups. Uncovered although solder on the base indicates they may have had covers once. A lovely articulate set of pickups that do what they say ‘on the tin’. Oil City says…

“The Tubesnake lets you boogie all the way from Texas to the Snakepits of Los Angeles. So whether you favour a ten gallon hat or a tophat this pickup will provide the sizzle. On a serious note it's a slightly fat and aggressive PAF with an alnico2 magnet for sweet highs and a buttery low end. The bridge unit can rock out whilst the neck pickup really sings. 42 gauge US vintage spec plain enamel wire alnico 2 magnets”
