TFB on Chrome.on Android freezes

I am now getting some strange behaviour using Chrome on my S22 Ultra, where some graphics heavy pages are stalling and freezing the phone. I have to wait then exit the app. Any ideas?

I'm finding problems on my Pixel 6a that the page won't scroll right to get bottom. Indeed one post with 9 replies only shows the OP. This is in Chrome with view set to Desktop Site.

Edit. Swapping to non-desktop site and back again seems to have cured it for now.

Got the exact same issue with my Samsung galaxy S20. It's not like you can uninstall chrome. Quite frustrating.

Yeah, this came up a couple of weeks ago and hasn't resolved itself. I'm using Chrome (in 'Full Site' mode) on a OnePlus 8T running Android 13.
Constant freezing and then Chrome shuts down and it's only when I'm on this site.

This is happening more frequently now. For the first rime.it just froze my phone totally and I had to do a hard reboot. This only happens with the Fretboard.

I'm getting it on Duck Duck Go on Android.

Pages with lots of images often freeze.

OK, just as a catch-all suggestion...have any of you tried clearing the cache/cookies/both?

Same on an S20FE.

I think it's a bug with one of the more recent security updates.

What I've noticed on mine as well is that the mobile view for TFB isn't working properly.

I'm trying an all time cache clear... taking a while!

Same here, pixel 6. Tried clearing cache. One page I can reproduce issue every time is in Guitars for sale

Gretsch 5420t- modded and punctured!

That freezes and sometimes crashes chrome badly. I will try other browsers now.

I seem to experience the same. The only other issue I seem to have is with Duolingo which is probably running via web protocols, tbc.

I have to wait for up to a minute on my pixel but rapid if I use my wife's tablet, all is good. I've used Duolingo for vocabulary building for a long long time, I know that something is not right and Samsung is fine.

Good luck trouble shooting this, not easy being web master, even harder Web Master + DevOps + Infosec + infrastructure + Dec. Adiós to that!
