    I've got a perfectly good XR which I have been trying to unlock, although EE tells me it probably isn't locked anyway, but it has been proving to be less than simple, even following EE's detailed instructions.   Battery life is around 85%.   And I'm in Cornwall.

    But the phone isn't.  I'll see if I can get it unlocked next weekend when I'm back at home.  If I can do it, you are welcome to it for, say, £75, or a nice Strat.......

    @rlw if you go to Settings>General>About and scroll down to the network section there’s an item Network Provider Lock. If it says “No SIM Restrictions” then it’s unlocked. 

    @mgaw my iPhone 12 will be available in about a month if the offer above doesn’t work out
