Selling on Reverb...scam?

What's Hot
I'm selling an item and accepted an offer for collection. The guy sent this :
"Hi just to update you I've been trying to make the payment but my card won't go through, I've been on chat with my bank and with reverb and still can't seem to resolve it, going to call the bank on my lunch break, will keep you updated, just checking if PayPal payment would be possible? Or cash on collection (not sure if you can do that through reverb)"
Any red flags there?

This section is for help with the forum.

That said. If he allows you to cancel the sale via Reverb (doing this without telling Reverb) , then paypal or collection in person is fine as you dont have to provide Reverb with proof of postage.

As for keeping the sale and allowing paypal seperately I'm unsure, check with Reverb re that.

  • Seems fine to me. Just don’t give him the item before you get the money!

I had a similar problem trying to pay for something on Reverb.  It was because Reverb was not set up for the 2 step authentication that my credit card required.
I had to add cash to my PayPal account to make the payment.
