SOLD Gibson Exclusive 335 with P90s, Ebony £1850

Hello,

This is a very tentative post as I’m in 2 minds, as I’m some ways I love the guitar, in others it sometimes just doesn’t  bond with me on certain days and it niggles. 

So…I’ve not had it very long at all, bought new around January this year and thought it was the answer to my longing for a P90 loaded Gibson.  And it was! Until…some days I just couldn’t gel with it and it frustrates me and others it does what I want it to do, much like one of my stupid spaniels. Anyway…

So this was part of the Gibson Exclusives collection launched a little while ago and they had various models in ebony and olive green with certain distinguishing features.  On this one it is a 335 Dot, but instead of dog ear P90s which I’ve seen before, this has cream soapbars and I think it looks very very cool. I have had to curb my appetite to make everything blacker than my ex girlfriends heart by changing the pickup covers and pick guard to ebony to make it a stealthy monster. 

This also has orange drop caps in and some upgraded wiring, but I’ve never opened it up to look as it’s straight from the factory like that.  The guitar is virtually unmarked. I’ve played it a bit, but I’m sad and am very precious with my instrument(s) ahem…

So…there we have it, on the fence, thought about a pickup swap to see if it changes things, but on the other side I wanted to see a) any interest b) what’s out there? 

Pictures up in a little bit as I have a poorly dog and a poorly me at the tail end (I hope) of pneumonia so things are taking a while, but thought I’d gauge interest while I go and take some pics.

    The plastics were never black, this is all original.  I only thought it was a cool idea to make it all black so I’m glad people agree!!

    Considering it will cost around £40 odd quid to change the plastics to black, I’ll reduce to £1900 for people who fancy that! Not sure there can be many Gibson 335s under 2K around at the minute! Happy Wednesday

    Price drop to £2000 which is now bordering on the trade in price I’ve been given by a couple of shops so they’d be selling for £2300 ish!

    It is really nice, I’m just looking for something different and this is too good to not get the play time it deserves really. Seems a waste to have it sat here.
