Nice work. I enjoy the moodiness, sounds very pissed off but in a very laid back kind of way with the feel of it. Enjoyed the tempo changes, and the use of 6/8 type time which is underused in my experience. Particularly enjoyed the break up of Come Closer where it goes ape shit for a while. Nicely done with the guitar arrangements, they compliment each other well, especially enjoyed Soft Talk as a thoughtful penultimate track. Outro of Ask Yourself Why reminded me of Beatles She's So Heavy, without actually sounding like it if that makes sense, but the building oblivion of repetition summarised the album's vibe really well

Thank you very much for listening, gentlemen. Very kind words. It means a lot.

No bigsby on the album but definitely judicious abuse of my Jazzmaster’s Mastery vibrato on some overdubs. There are actually three guitars on most tracks. Otherwise I think I used my Am Pro II Deluxe Tele for most of it.

What's the story with the band's relocation to Berlin?

I've lived in Berlin for years and only joined this band post-pandemic. Kai and Luke (vocalist/guitarist & other guitarist) founded it a while ago. This is the third album.

Kai moved over to Berlin in 2018 I think, not quite sure why, just for a change and as a bit of a life upgrade, much as I did in 2014. We met here through mutual friends, his wife actually photographed my old band here and we have a lot of mutual acquaintances in music back in the UK. Luke actually lives in Basel (his wife is Swiss) and the drummer in Stockholm.

We have a Berlin-based line up for gigging.

Hah, by far my least favourite track on the album, but very poignant. I think it's about Kai and his childhood best friend who went through some difficult stuff. Thanks for revisiting the album!
