WTB Roland GK3 Pick-up (or cheap Roland Ready guitar!)

robwrightrobwright Frets: 733
Just bought a VGA7 amp and want to try it out with the GK3 pickup.

It’s a bit of an experiment so can’t justify spending loads!

Thanks

I've a few sat in a box and can spare one, what type of guitar would it be going onto so I can check what if any mounting hardware I've got to suit?

Great! I’m going to stick it on a Vintage (brand, not age!) Strat.

    Cheers

Good choice, sir. It would be a shame to drill holes into a posh guitar.

I have similar technology in the VG99. Generally, the more synthetic the sounds you trigger, the more fun you will have. Exotic tunings can also be fun. "Natural" acoustic sounds tend to come across as slightly fake. There may be a discernible triggering delay.

IIRC, HarrySeven has two or three VGA series amplifiers. Weight training might prove beneficial.
    Be seeing you.

You can have a whole lot of fun with a GK3, particularly if you’re into recording.  I have used mine many times for sax, Hammond B3, piano, harmonica, even accordion. You can experiment, non-destructively, til your heart’s content.

    Looking forward to it!
