Once again . . . Do I wish I'd have gone for a US Strat with a Maple Neck ?? or a Roadworn Vintera ??
Same answer . . probably YES, but there's no doubt the EOB Strat is a great guitar and I genuinely believe that given a little more time I'll be 100% OK with the neck . . .
However feel free to get in touch if anyone fancies a TRADE :-) Always interested in options . . . .

Anyway once you get stuck into the sustainer I'm sure you'll be happy with your decision. They are great tracking tools for example where you need to add some pads. The neck pickup doesn't sound like a normal strat pickup but it does have its own thing going on
I made the mistake of telling one of my friends that I missed owning a Stratocaster and he offered it to me at a very reasonable price so I basically thought "nothing to lose here, so why not give it a go " . . . .
I'm on the fence with the Sustainer Pickup really, I don't feel driven to use it but I totally appreciate that it does open up a whole new avenue for expression,
In truth though, I still miss owning a Stratocaster, in particular my old 62 AVRI so I'm not 100% sure that I'll be keeping it . . . My fear of big necks has vanished though so this has already taught me a lesson . . .
Once again . . . Do I wish I'd have gone for a US Strat ?? or a Roadworn Vintera ?? well most definitely "yes" . . . I think I'm kind of set in my ways, so, as well put together as this is and as good as it looks, its not for me but I do love the Maple Neck . . . so there's no doubt that it will be in the Classified Section sooner rather than later . . .

I've also got used to the Pickups too but I do miss the Tone you get from a typical Strat neck pickup . . That said the Bridge Pickup is awesome, so is the Texas Special in the Middle and position 4 is tasty too . . . At one point when I was struggling with the Neck Profile I also decided it wasnt Stratty enough . . . I'll take that back too . . Its easily Stratty enough for me . . . If it was stolen, I'd definitely get another . . 100%

OMG . . . I'm so fickle, 3 months on from my previous GUSHING post and the EOB Strat has been relegated to third place in the pecking order behind the Manson Evo and my trusty 97 Telecaster . . . . ! ! ! . . . I played the EOB last night for a while and it was a blast, it's still a great guitar, its definitely put together well and I really like the Sustainer but I'm back into the other two guitars I have way more . . . The neck on the EOB is seriously comfy, but the neck on the Manson is super easy to noodle on.
Its a funny old game . . . ! !
