Ok after this have a short break, come back at 8.35 for Searching With My Good Eye Closed
"Somewhere" is working a bit better for me, there's a bit more to grab onto melody wise, I think.
7. Searching with my good eye closed.
I used to consider this a bit of an album filler, but it has grown on my over the years.
I think it was the opening song when I saw them play in Hyde Park 2012.
Btw I saw them play 4 times. Reading festival twice, Wolverhampton Civic Hall in 96 and Hyde Park 2012 (which was incredible)
I can't remember now, it probably took me a few listens to get into BMF when I was 16
As for "when am I ready?" You'll never be ready. It works in reverse, you become ready by doing it. - pmbomb
The closest it gets to a ballad. Tuning: EEEEEE
Partly about Andy Wood, his housemate who died of an OD.. he was the singer of Mother Love Bone, the proto Pearl Jam group.
This may be my fave song on the album
Candle's burning yesterday
Somebody's best friend died
It's not top of my list to listen again though - not all at once anyways!
[edit]
But it's been a new experience, which is what this is all about
Takes me back to my teens. Thank you
I liked "Searching with my Good Eye Closed" and "Room a Thousand Years Wide" best so far. It's quite full on, and I've been doing a lot of driving today and I'm tired so possibly wasn't the most receptive I could be.
I'll have a bash at Superunknown, which I am slightly ashamed to reveal that I actually own (I don't remember buying it, I've just found it) but haven't listened to ... !
