***SOLD*** Monty's Pickups Full Monty Humbucker Set (Open Zebra) - £190 £175 delivered. SOLD

Great condition, never cut the cables at all when I installed them. Blurb from the website:

Our Full Monty Humbucker (formerly the GT500) is a massively beefed up version of a classic humbucker. Conceived to be the most versatile Humbucker imaginable, the Full Monty is capable of covering a simply mindboggling range of tones from sweet, bright cleans to massive rock tones and beyond.

Our Full Monty Humbucker was actually the first pickup that Monty’s ever made, designed by Matt (he’s the boss), for personal use in a covers band. The idea was to marry the big, growly bass of a high output Humbucker with the complex mids and crystalline highs of a good PAF. In our experience, many higher-output humbuckers either have a nice bass response and skinny treble, or thick treble and loose, muddy bass. We absolutely felt we could fix this and, after much tinkering, arrived at the Full Monty.

The key to getting this right was taking inspiration from vintage pickup design. Whilst the Full Monty is overwound, it’s nowhere near as hot as some high-output Humbuckers. These pickups are more than pokey enough to give your amp a little kicking, but not so hot as to strangle the life out of it. The 42-gauge wire and traditional coil offset ensure a lively top-end and dynamic response. The result is a pickup that is as dynamic, responsive and clear as any good low-output Humbucker with all the fatness of higher-output Humbucker.

Scatterwound using 42 gauge Formvar (neck pickup) and Plain Enamel (Bridge pickup) wire:

Neck- Alnico V, 7.9k

Bridge – Alnico II, 9k

**SOLD** Oil City Mighty Ninety(Bridge)/Smooth Ninety(Neck) Humbucker Sized P90s - £135 delivered.

Great condition, again no shortening of the cable. Website blurb

Mighty 90: Oil City humbucker sized Mighty Nineties are wound like their proper, full sized cousins: using a specially designed bobbin (made by us) to capture as much of that vintage tone as possible.

The Mighty Ninety has a resistance of 7.5 neck, 8k bridge (average) and a sweet but edgy classic tone. Under drive it becomes progressively ruder and more aggressive.

Built with classic alnico 5 magnets, 49.2mm (classic Gibson) string spacing, and open topped (nickel or black ring) in 49.2.

Smooth 90: Just like the Mighty Ninety but using alnico 2 magnet in the neck, and alnico 4 in the bridge for a smoother blues rock tone. Buttery, singing leads are the order of the day here.

**SOLD** Gibson Burstbucker 1 and 2 set - £150 delivered. **SOLD**

Great condition, taken out of my Les Paul Standard soon after purchase. Gibson blurb:

On the shop floor of the original Gibson plant in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the earliest Gibson Patent Applied For humbuckers were wound using imprecise machines, resulting in pickups with varying degrees of output and tone. The Burstbucker™ line of pickups represents Gibson's drive to recapture the magic of the original Patent Applied For humbucker™ pickups. First introduced in the early 1990s, the Gibson Burstbucker — Types 1, 2, and 3 — successfully captured the subtle variations of true, classic humbucker tone with historically unbalanced coil windings and Alnico 2 magnets. They produce an airy, full tone, and when overdriven, they achieve a magical distortion with the slightly enhanced highs that made the originals famous.

Burstbucker™ Type 1 features a lower output, excellent for the neck position. Burstbucker Type 2 features medium output and is perfect for any position. Burstbucker Type 3 is overwound and hot, which is typically ideal for the bridge position. None of the Burstbuckers are wax potted, and all feature vintage braided two-conductor wiring.
