Any clues Adrian?
I'm a filter addict and the Spectrum is amazing. It will do perfect versions of the famous old filter pedals but without the noise. The factory Meatball setting on it (Dumpling!) is a thing of beauty.

The problem I've had in the past is that they sound too phaser-ish or don't have that lovely quack like on the Edie Brickell track. I must say, my friend's 70's MXR Envelope Filter does it but I've had a couple of those from that decade and they're nnowhere near as good or sound the same.
Blimey. The Source Audio one sounds great and as I play bass, too, that has some great applications.
I'm looking forward to hearing the Thorpy one
edit: just found my original thread where I noted the difference - https://www.thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/130818/mxr-envelope-filter-s#
