Who do we like for leather straps these days?

My favourite strap supplier appears to have ceased trading so who do we like for decent quality leather straps? Prefer to go for a small UK business if possible. A bit annoyed at myself that I doidnt look at stuff in the guitar show now....

Looked at the heistercamp website today. Irritating lack of any kind of decent, close up photography of the material; “webbing” could cover a multitude of sins and I’d like to see what it actually looks like

IME this is a problem many strap companies have. The straps look good in photos till you actually see one up close.

From my perspective, expensive leather straps are not worth the money at all. Much rather have a decent neoprene one --- both comfier and cheaper.

Heistercamp usually have a lot of metalwork on them. However, I use Heistercamp Catalyst which are plain but great quality. Need to sandpaper the edges first and then treat them with something like neatsfoot oil to soften them up a bit. The double ended ends mean you don't need straplocks. Also has a handy keeper for your guitar lead.

Not had a strap, but bought a belt from Heistercamp for my wife.

Quality is superb, and they were great to deal with.

The Pinegrove solid leather no-metal ones are very nice. I recently nabbed a black 3" one for my bass and it looks great and feels fab.

Also a big fan of Bear Straps, if buckles are your thing.

I bought a belt for myself. It's a good belt. What put me off buying a strap is the excessive branding in multiple places on the belt.

My Bear strap on the other hand just has a discreet bear embossed into it.

I remember this vid from a while back. I haven't got one of these straps but at some point I'll get one.

Not sure who else retails them other than 'him' and they are expensive but it's a one time purchase innit, so justifiable methinks.

I am a lazy so and so and don't like taking straps on and off - so they stay on, in and out of the case etc. So wanting to avoid any buckles and studs that may damage my loverly new prs, this was ordered and arrived today:

2 layers sandwiching a spongy middle (sounds like a decent biscuit), this is a quality strap for £20 inc vat and P&P. Very thick (hopefully equates to strong and durable) and soft
