It's happening again, the one and only BOXSTOCK, The UK Cigar Box Guitar Festival®!

If you can face the prospect of guitars that aren't shiny, nor fitted with less than 6 strings, then you might be able to challenge your expectations and assumptions to risk coming this event...you never know, you might even enjoy yourself.

Saturday 20th May 2023

We've held the price the same as last year, and we have a cool new venue. It's the Halton Turner Brewing Company, in Digbeth, Birmingham, right in the middle of this up and coming alternative arts, media and entertainment quarter. 

It runs from 12 noon 'til 12 midnight. From noon - 5.30pm it's free entry, then the evening gig is £15.00 (doors open 7.30pm).

During the day we'll have trade stalls, demos, open mic. and showcase music performances. Learn how to play 3 string cigar box guitar in our free workshop sessions.

For the evening we've got this great lineup:

  • Dots

  • Chickenbone Blues

  • Bobster

  • Phillbilly One Man Band

As the venue is a brewery, there will of course be a great selection of beers, brewed on the premises, plus food from the in-house kitchen and street food in the courtyard.
