  • Pretty expensive for a "budget" pedal!

Presumably this would form the start of a new single-switch series. I'm not sure I care at that price though

I think the Tonex pedal leak is more interesting, but everyone loves moaning about Strymon.

I paid that much for my BigSky…..a decade ago now!

  • I like the idea of as series of small individual Strymon pedals but not at that price. If it were circa 175-200 I might be keen. At this price I'd just buy a used BigSky again.

What I'd really love to see is a Timeline 2 with new algorithms (and the original ones included too) and a better screen/looper. That really would sell like hot cakes. They must be looking at sales of the Meris LVX and the Eventide H90 and considering it.....I hope!

    Why all the secrecy?
First it's accidently left online, then the listing's pulled.
It's just a pedal, not top secret plans for invading Russia.

Yes, the sense of self-importance is ludicrous. I guess Strymon will want to coordinate the official launch with a whole bunch of Youtube videos from all the usual shops and suspects – including shill-in-chief Andy whatsit. Strymon will probably also have their own deadly dull videos featuring the Walt from Breaking Bad lookalike guy.

  • It just does not look real for me. If this is supposed to be the Cloud engine from the Big Sky in a single pedal, then the dials on the pedal image don't match up to the parameters you can adjust on the Big Sky. Loads of GearPagers in the US have been calling for Cloud to be put in a stand-alone pedal for years now, and it just looks like a Strymon uberfan posting a wish rather than a reality.

I’m know I’m the only one in the world that thinks like this, but I’d like it to be a straight up Strymon sounding pedal, no midi, no second functions. Then I’ll wait for the delay version.

Agreed, the Tonex stuff seems really good, this might tempt me back to trying digital again   it looks like there's no fx loop which is a strange omission considering they have the X series pedals that would fit in nicely.

  • Just watched a few demos and it genuinely sounds incredible.

To have an exp input as well as midi capability at this size and form factor is really impressive.

I’ll be grabbing one of these to play with…

….once they start showing up used!

TL;DR - Just get a Big Sky. I had one until recently. Made me smell of joss sticks.

I'm curious where the demand is for all these ambient reverb pedals? While I love a bit of Hammock etc, isn't it still a bit of a niche sound? I find it's an effect I think I want/need but when I get it, I really don't use it as much as I expected.
