@thomasross20 ; nothing loose on tuners? Ball end fully seated against bridgeplate? No bracing issues? Any electronics installed?

    :)

  • Good points... (as ever and thank you). No electronics, String ball end ok, not sure re bracing. I think will try new strings when these ones wear out. 12-56.

  • Have to say this is the guitar I pick up 90% of the time now. So small but great sounding and although I said on another thread that 12 fretters weren't my thing, I am really warming to them now. The fretting hand position feels a lot more natural and there's a warmth to the sound due to the bridge placement.

I'd have thought modern amplifier technology could solve most sound problems nowadays?
not if you only play acoustically

Is a non amplified sound good enough to fill a hall or large room?
History suggests not. Hence trend to bigger guitars and resonators and, to a lesser extent, archtops in the 1930's and 40's. Dreadnoughts and jumbos were initially liked because louder not because of beefier low end. Guitar was often competing in orchestras back then and was a bit quiet. And blues and ragtime players playing house parties wanted volume too. That's my understanding anyway.

Nice guitar @thomasross20 . Have fun.

    Nice one @thonasross20.

Never tried a Larrivee; in fact, I don't think I've ever seen one "in the flesh".

    Happy NGD mate 1

Sorry, mistook this for a new thread!

  • No worries! Thanks, guys.
    Loving cool little small guitars.
My problem now is I have so many I feel I ought to get rid - was thinking about my PRS which is now unplayed but it's so damn cool lol.
