This is a better link as it has a proper write up:

Pele was actually a nick name, his actual name was Edson Arantes do Nascimento!
RIP Legend.
RIP the King
Not unexpected of course, but sad nevertheless. Another sporting hero gone.
Legend.
just because you do, doesn't mean you should.
I'll be on YouTube later to watch a genius at work.
RIP

Lowering my expectations has succeeded beyond my wildest dreams.
As @blobb mentioned above, the great moment that wasn't a goal was sublime and the miss from the 1/2 way line earlier in the tournament (think v the Czech's)
We all wanted to be Pele.
Nobody else mattered.

And now we have the death of THE greatest player ever.
Rest and enjoy the freedom Pele; and thank you for your incredible example.
I think, in terms of pure footballing ability, Messi is arguably the greatest ever, but I don't think anyone will ever do as much for the sport as Pele did. An absolute pioneer in every sense of the word, not only for his exploits on the field, but for being one of the first real powerhouse black sporting icons alongside Ali. His influence allowed the likes of Cruyff/Maradona/Messi to flourish.
If I'm naming my greatest athletes of all time, all things considered inside & outside of their respective sports, Ali is the only person I'd potentially have ahead of Pele. A legendary figure both on & off the pitch, & his status is one that will live on forever.
