I just picked up the guitar and hadn't read your post carefully enough, and played 133030, which is adding a 6th, but it's nice as well.

Barred D-shape (root on 4th) or barred A-shape (root on 5th) for me. Followed closely by barred C-shape (root also on 5th), or the cheat corruption of the barred E-shape where your 1st finger plays the root on 6th and mutes the 5th string and fingers 2,3,4 make like an open A-minor shape on strings 2,4,3 respectively (finger 2 on same fret as finger 1, the others 1 fret higher).

This "E-up-a-fret" chord is very useful for providing a hint of flamenco in the key of E or for generating suitable moodiness in the key of A minor.

I love these chord of the week threads! I propose some sort of diminished or augmented chord next... mainly because I'd like to see them in context (maybe outside of jazz and metal) and gain a greater understanding of them!
