I didn't realise she was that old to be honest. She certainly earned her place in the history of music. RIP Christine

Just found out she passed away today. So talented and by all reports a lovely lady. She was a true 'songbird and will be sorely missed, but her songs will live on.

Yikes!  I did not see that one coming.  I'm not a huge fan of the band, although I like them, but they were so big, and always there.

    RIP

How sad….it was usually Stevie Nicks that got the headlines, so apart from marrying John McVie I didn’t know much about her…RIP

Bloody hell, the most out & out talented member of Fleetwood Mac, but very few gave her the credit she deserved.
    RIP

I first became aware of her when she was Christine Perfect (which was her real name) and in Chicken Shack. Their version of "I'd Rather Go Blind", with her vocal and playing keyboard, is one of my all-time favourite songs.

A very underrated talent who did a huge amount to shape AOR in the 70s. RIP.

God, that’s a shock! Great talent! RIP
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

I didn’t realise she was by some margin the oldest of the classic 70s line-up. She was always the ‘quiet one’ compared to the fireworks of the Buckingham/Nicks partnership/conflict, but wrote some of their best songs… kind of like FM’s George Harrison. Hers were always gentler and more optimistic, even though she had her fair share of the inter-band personal issues too.

    RIP :(

So sad to wake up this morning, click on to the BBC site for a quick news update then see this - Many will talk about Stevie as the voice/talent that was so much about Fleetwood Mac, but I much preferred the voice of Christine

I know what my playlist will be today - Thanks for your part in writing so many great songs and what is probably the best pop album of all time - RIP

Just saw the news of Christine's passing.

R.I.P. Condolences to her family and friends.

Fleetwood Mac were one of the first bands that drew me into the world of music. They are one of my all-time favourite bands.

I've said it before - John and Mick sit behind all the singer, song writers, see them come and go - They lay down a solid beat - They were there at the start and they'll be there at the end almost oblivious to all the 'fuss' that goes on around them

So saddened to hear of her passing. She was an extraordinary talent, those Fleetwood Mac albums were a major soundtrack  of my teenage years.  :'(
RIP Christine, thanks for your wonderful music.

  • Tis indeed very sad ... I watched a docu about her not so long ago and learned loads about her and her importance to FM.

I'm guessing there will be a spate of programmes and focus to follow shortly.
