SORTED WTB Inexpensive Strat Pickups

Something vintage voiced to replace what's in  my Classic Vibe Strat - apparently they stopped using Tonerider OEMs in 2019 and the new pickups are a bit "not very good"
Just so people are aware. I have no idea what any of these words mean.

    Surely, the majority of inexpensive pickups are unlikely to be much better.

    Alegree Old Timer Formvar Fifties pickups are a lot of bang for your Buck.

    Considering how keen many Fretboarders are about changing the pickups in lower priced guitars, there ought to be a glut of OEM Squier CV stock pickups available. 

    Reading the pre-2019 Squier CV model specs will confirm which alnico formulation their polepiece magnets are. Cross reference against published Tonerider specs. Choose whichever variant is closest to what you want. Post a WTB: thread in Parts £.



    Regarding my mention earlier of Alegree Old Timer pickups. My money went on two OT Chimer single coils and a Blazer humbucker. Combined with a Schaller Megaswitch E, these do sterling service in a Cort G200.

    IMO, the OC pickups deserve professional quality pots and switches.
