What's Hot
Unexpectedly Mrs Jones has expressed an interest in seeing the above. But I was gobsmacked at some of the prices, like 4-500 quid a ticket? Cheapest seems to be 165. Each! Anyway, sounds like a lot of dosh to me. When did they get so expensive, or am I hopelessly out of touch?

Traveling with a 12 piece band must be really expensive these days.

  • I got an advert banner on this  page for the exact same run of shows. Says £56.50 before booking fee etc.

Saw a facebook ad too. Too pricey. Their O2 tickets a few years ago were in the same range.

    How was it?
I'm going to the Manchester gig, and as much of a fan as I am, I'm not sure I can cope with the endless noodling in basically every song I've seen a live video of so far.

A mate went to London gig last week. Said it was a gig of two halves. First half was great, songs a plenty. Second half was a self indulgent free for all.

@smfacer I agree with @CountryDave though I'm quite fond of the noodling.

  • I can think of worse people to listen to noodling!

  • Dont get me wrong, I love a good, tasteful noodle now and then but not every song

    ...and especially not jazz saxophone!

  • Well, I needn't have worried, it was an a great show. Turns out it was Susan Tedeschi's birthday - cue two thousand (give or take) people singing happy birthday as they walked on stage. the noodling, while extensive at points was never aimless or particularly self indulgent. I'd never realised how good a guitarist Tedeschi was, at points trading lead duties with Trucks.

On stage banter was minimal, but when the music is this good it doesnt really matter

A very enjoyable evening which even the missus enjoyed

  • All of the above. Brilliant.
