Tommy Emmanuel c03r-TE sig from Larrivee?

What's Hot
Hi all,

Anyone had a chance to play this thing? I'm a massive TE fan and I'm super intrigued by this. I'm not seeing anywhere near Birmingham that has one however.

  • The only way I could afford a signature guitar is if it was a 'drunken wedding singer/guitarist' edition.

hmmm a 12 fretter eh ?   -  not  so keen on the Florentine

2.5 is a good price for r/w even if it were a non-sig model
just because you don't, doesn't mean you can't

Mate, just tell me what guitar you like and I'll sign it for you. No problemo. Happy to help out.

  • I tried one of these at Promenade music in Morecambe.  I have to say, I wasn't sure about it. However, I might have taken the chance if I hadn't bought an OM3 instead.

Wow. That has to be the world's biggest cutaway. No idea is my answer to your question @bermudianbrit but I would be fascinated to see whether taking that large a chunk out of the top would alter/effect tone. I know cutaways aren't supposed to, but that cutaway seems to come from the Great White Shark school of acoustic guitar cutaways! Perhaps Larrivee are trying to save on wood.

    ;-)

  • Definitely prefer more rounded cutaways

What weren't you sure about, out of curiosity? The more I check this out, the more I'm liking it tbh

Not played one myself, but MusicStreet is my local shop, and all I can say is they are super helpful, and not pushy. If you’ve got any specific questions give Andy and the guys a ring I’m sure they’d be happy to help.

Sorry to take so long to reply. I simply like more fretboard - 12 fretters don't really cut it for me. But the large cutaway might have made it more acceptable. However, when Promenade didn't respond to my e mails and phone messages I thought F**** it.

  • played one today. Very good. A dread with a big cutaway that also sounds good with finger picking. It's bass-light for a dread, but treads a middle ground for a finger picker who sometimes plays with a pick.
