I have a set of these in a 2011 Tele-bration model. I did not realise that the rod magnets were A2.
    Be seeing you.

  • @Funkfingers ;Well there seems to be alot of discussion as to whether they are a3 or low-wind a2. Fender originally marketed them as A2 so thats what I've listed them as.

    How do yo find them?

  • How I find the Fender '62 Telecaster pickups is probably not germane to your listing. My host guitar has a pine body, a maple neck and an American Series bridge with Stratocaster-style bent steel saddles.

I often think about changing the pickups but balk at the prospect because it would probably negatively affect the resale value of the guitar.
    Be seeing you.

  •  =) ha dont worry one man's mustard is another man's shoe polish (or something along those lines). I bought them after I heard a friends who happens to fuse Roy Buchanan and John Hiatt running them into 70's silverfaces. Awesome

I quite liked then in my tele custom and not a million miles from my old '66 tele, however I put some warmer pups in my strat and wanted to replicate the fun I was having with that, Ended up going with a pretty standard dimarzio/SD combo.

I'm a fan of the bridge pickup. The Neck is pretty standard Tele if that makes sense.

I have the 62 bridge pickup in more than one of my own builds. Indeed last night I was playing my USA '62 reissue and grinning at how good it sounds. And plays.

the 62 bridge - It's got grit, a touch warmer with no ice pick, it can twang of you like that and it's well balanced. One of Fender's finest, really.

According to Andy Martin's Pro Guitar Workshop video demonstration, the pickups in my OGRW Telecaster are A3. His word is good enough for me.

    Have a free bump. :)
