Drummer in a ton of cool alt/underground bands, with stints in The Feelies, Lounge Lizards and Pere Ubu for starters.  Leader of The Golden Palominos, an alternative "supergroup" of sorts, that featured a rolling cast of guest members over many albums, including John Lydon, Michael Stipe, Richard Thompson, Bob Mould, Peter Blegvad, Bernie Worrell...the list could go on.

I know him most from the first iteration of The Bob Mould Band, circa the amazing Workbook and Black Sheets Of Rain albums.  A really fantastic, creative, muscular drummer.

He was only 66 years old.  RIP.
