SOLD: Sunface clone (Fuzz face) hammered copper powder coated enclosure.
Sunface workalike. SOLD £50 including delivery.
Built using the Sunflower pedalpcb kit from musikding, which came with AC125 germanium transistors at the tested and appropriate hfe and leakage. It benefits from a voltage inverter which means it can be powered with the usual centre negative power supply like most other pedals. I also upgraded the Footswitch to the highly regarded soft touch Gorva brand one. It has the cleanup pot located on the outside instead of a trim pot inside which is an option on the originals and adds a lot of usability. The transistors have been socketed so they can be swapped out easily if desired.
note: while this sounds great as it is I haven't been able to quite get it to bias at the recommended 4.5v. There is lots of info online about how this can be achieved. I have socketed R1 and R2 to allow the use of different resistors to achieve the correct bias but I don't have time or various resistors to tinker with it unfortunately at the moment so I'm selling it at the price I paid for the parts.
To me it sounds excellent as it is and just like many other great fuzz face variants that I've owned previously, but it may be that someone in the know can make it sound even better.

And I think I watched a sun face tear down which was higher bias. Think it was Grey bench electronics.
