To fit a Jackson JT6 Floyd Rose licensed vibrato.

I'm missing one block for this guitar and unfortunately can't fit standard 5x4mm blocks as they are too big.

Also need a tremolo arm if anyone has a spare tucked away that they no longer need?

Hello, Steve. I have a box full of old Jackson/Charvel spare parts - some in "as new" condition.

These include the JT-6 string lock blocks in two different textures.

Obstructive/stiff fine tuners can be cured with new, straight string block lock screws.
    Be seeing you.

Would you part with a string block? If so please let me know how much you'd like. Whatever texture matches those in my picture closest is good.

You don't happen to have an arm as well do you? Again if so how much would persuade you to part with it?

Everything seems to work okay and just needs a good soak in 3-in-1 I think.

Rummaging in the parts box now.

I'm not certain what an original JT-6 arm and bushing look like. Mine was converted to the push-in type years ago.

    CORRECTION
It was always a push-in type. I have the bushing and fittings. I do not have the official arm but an Ibanez one fits.

That won't cure the skinny zinc sustain block.

Thanks. The arm *is* a push-type. It looks a bit like one for a Jem with two nylon bushes and a pointy end.

A Jem arm goes in but is a bit loose and doesn't really engage with the clip.

Maybe it just needs adjusting, I'll try that

It is possible that the arm I am using is from some generic Taiwanese pot metal vibrato.

I find the clip extremely fussy about engaging with the notch in an arm. I have a bunch of spurious bent wire clips meant for another brand. Those need bending with pliers to persuade them to engage reliably.

The other thing that helps is to add a star washer between the hex nut and underside of the baseplate.

Easiest thing is if I chuck assorted JT-6 spare parts in a padded envelope and charge you a fiver to cover postage.

I'm not one of those eBay scalpers asking over $300 for a thirty five year old vibrato that is known to be fundamentally shite. (Despite this, I wouldn't change my JT-6 for the world.)

I can include a complete replacement bushing with the correct clip and fastening screw.
    Be seeing you.

That would be brilliant thank you. My address is in my website, please PM your PayPal email and I'll gladly send you a fiver.

The new (ish) floyd push in arm fits very nicely on a JT6 if you are happy/able to drill or ream out the threaded hole to accept the fitting . the plate feels like it's quite soft  so not too much work. Here is my one:

I like the JT6 in principle with the 10mm string spacing, and the out of the way fine tuners and knife edge pivot blades.
I had to cannabalise a few to get enough working parts that worked nicely.

I did choose to get a steel block made which I think adds a lot to the tone and stability of the trem as sen above

Got any spare baseplate/baskets that are not cracked through? I could use one.

I have come to love my ultrasound cleaning bath for getting all the gunk out trems and bridges amongst other parts

The one part you requested and another twenty that you did not, posted this morning. (Tracking details via PM.)

FWIIW, I upgraded my JT-6 with a brass Feline big block. My only grumble is that I have lost some upward bend travel - a stunt to which I rarely resort anyhow.
    Be seeing you.

Fixed that for you ....our blocks are steel

which model Charvel or Jackson is it on?
    A 1987/1988 model?
Asking as they had more room inside for trem movement, and the block is only 2-3 mm thicker in either direction

[Takes screwdriver to mongrel Model 3/1 spring cavity cover plate.]

My mistake. The Fat Cat JT-6 sustain block is cold rolled steel.

I have been swapping around Jackson/Charvel vibrato parts so often recently that I confused my brain cell.

It was the Charvel-stamped Schaller vibrato on another Model series mongrel that has a fat brass block.
