Hi,

I'm looking for a gold Floyd Rose to swap onto a guitar... anyone have anything kicking around?

Preferably an Original Floyd Rose - as this is what is on already, however I believe a Gotoh/Schaller would swap in too.

As for a price - it depends on the model, they all have differing costs... if you have one you want to sell, get in touch... some new prices are below... id be looking for less for something used depending on the condition.

Current prices of these new are (around).
Gotoh - £206 (WD Music)
OFR - £313 (North West)
Schaller - £232 (Thomann)

Thanks,
Dave

If your vibrato is recessed into the top of the guitar body, the squarer rear corners of the Schaller baseplate may foul on the edge of the recess.

Conversely, if your guitar body is recessed for a Schaller, the saddle lock screws on an OFR may protrude further than the recess can accommodate.
    Be seeing you.

    Cheers @Gizmo ;

The price is very good, but Im going to try and get a OFR rather than the OFR 1000.

Having 2nd thoughts about the gotoh/schaller too.

ill probably regret it when I don’t find exactly what I’m looking for. Glwts on evilbay.

Ok cool no problem thanks for let me know, evilbay it is!.....

btw Ive own both unit types and apart from picking up an late 80's early 90's OFR (which are still way way better that all current year 2k+ OFR's) ive found the only diff in the 1000/OFR is the country of manufacture one being Germany one being S Korea.

the Gotoh units are better machined and have a push in type arm the a grub, the lock collars on all OFR's are always their weak points..Floyd even do a replacement arm with a push in (or the wilkinson VS arms and collars can be fitted) one thing to check with the gotoh units is that they have sharper tips on the front corners of the base plate and on some guitars the recess route for an OFR has rounded corners...i mean is it's surfaced mounted no worries ;)

    Cheers
