just because you do, doesn't mean you should.
It's playable the way it is but needs fine tuning
Does it need the nut filing as well as the saddle? My C&W could've done with both but I got impatient and did the saddle myself yesterday, bringing the 12th-fret 6th string action down from 2.75 to 2.25mm. It's made the world of difference and I've decided I can live with the nut action where it is now.
I wouldn't tackle a nut job myself but as I say, I'm satisfied with mine now the saddle's a bit lower and it means I don't have to be without the guitar for any period of time (honeymoon continues).

The nut needs a little work. I can't do that and I may as well have them do the saddle at the same time ,
