I was simply gonna play it.
    Anyway, onward and upward.
And there's nothing wrong with that. Simon at Brook would wholeheartedly agree with you! Spruce should not take as much playing to open up as my sinker redwood and it is sort of satisfying to hear the magic of hearing a new guitar gradually open up over time.

    Lovely looking guitar, BTW.

Oh Oh My My...what a beauty of a back. You didn't post those earlier, I see you were saving them. What a great looking guitar. I can see the Lowden heritage there - headstock, bridge, neck construction.
Don't know how you have time to post, my fingers would be dropping off by now! Lovely. Go enjoy it!

Is it a classical,or a sort of classical look to a traditional acoustic? It does look a beauty of a guitar though whatever it is.

Steel strung mid sized Jumbo. Quite a comfortable size for me but I'm not a small person.
From a little 12 fretter to a jumbo seems a big change. Hope it plays well.

Thanks to all for your interest and good wishes. I only hope my guitar skills develop enough to make the best of this class instrument.

One other very minor point - it comes in a top of the range Hiscox case - very nice and appropriate!

I'm glad it's turned out well mate. I have a couple of Hiscox cases. If you ever have an issue with the case, the company is great to deal with

I have a Hiscox case, about 20 yr old. Great case, I have a question but probably best in a new thread.
Anyway, what're you doing reading this! Get back & enjoy that guitar!  =)
