SOLD Seymour Duncan Psyclone Filteron Nickel Neck Pickup (Humbucker Size) Better than TV Jones
I have a Seymour Duncan Psyclone Filteron Style Neck Pickup (Humbucker Size) in Nickel Boxed for sale in as new condition only bought a few months ago. Can also be coil split, full instructions on wiring in box.
Its fantastic sounding and IMO better than any of the other comparable Filterons including the TV Jones model. The only reason for selling it, is that I bought this plus a Seymour Brad Paisley bridge for my Fret KIng Stvido custom built guitar which I have owned since 2016, to replace the original Seymour Duncan bridge pickup as I found it a bit too ice picky for me, ( sold on here), but decided to change the Neck pickup as well. The problem I have found is that the two pickups simply do not match up, I can get a great sound from Psyclone by setting up the tone controls etc, but then the bridge BP sounds a bit thin sounding, and visa versa set a great sound with the BP and the Psyclone starts to sound a bit too bassy etc. Also the Psyclone appears to have more output than the BP so that also cause a problem. I have been pondering for a while which one to change as I really love the Pysclone and was considering buying a bridge Psyclone to match, but that would have meant' buying a another bridge plate, etc.
Anyway last night I decided to put the Wilkinson Humbucker back in to try, which fortunately I kept, with the BP and they went really well together so that has now made my mind up, so unfortunately the Psyclone will go, as at present with some illness in the family, just don't have the time to start trying out other combinations with the Psyclone.
As advised, it is as new, plus I added an extension piece of wire for the coil splitting wire (easily taken off) as it was bit too short to attach to the tone control, if you do want to coil split the humbucker.
I have attached a copy of the price paid of £139 plus £5,99 delivery, so will accept £105 which will include postage and insurance cover. Which is really good saving of approx 30% for a real quality Filteron pickup that has only literally been put in a guitar to try!
Pics to follow.
