The BloodMoon is built on the foundation of the classic SuperMoon algorithm, but features a full wet/dry mix with a fluid and thick reverb voicing.
“Accurate representation of the MK1 Tone Bender circuit in a pedal-board friendly enclosure.
Transistors are two Texas Instruments 2G3xx types and a Mullard/Phillips black glass OC75. My usual careful testing and selection process of the components and transistors results in a fine sounding example of this vintage fuzz box. I get these early Tone Benders fairly user friendly, well tuned, with plenty of character and, of course, that typical MK1 fuzz sound. Expect a very good signal to noise ratio, without the odd artefacts that can be associated with this primitive effect.
The circuit wiring is point to point style in keeping with the original 1965 period. The passive and semiconductor components are mounted on perf-board which is then mounted on a custom made aluminium bracket.
Finished in black gloss with a gold screen print top and back. Power is by PP3 battery only”
This is the Main Amphetlabs Soundhead lo-fi system. Fuzz. Manufactured in South Yorkshire by D*A*M.
Essentially this is a copy of Robert Hampson's (from Loop) Jumbo Tone Bender, which he used on all the Loop records.
Roberts original unit came with some factory "faults" which made it a real unique sounding Fuzz pedal. David Main recreated it for him so he could use it whilst touring and it also features on the new record.
